Deeds of Hope - final celebration! 💐🎉

Come say goodbye to the Deeds of Hope project with us! 💐

We can't stop time, no matter how much we would want to and so slowly but surely we made it to the last event of the Deeds of Hope solidarity project. 🎉 We would like to express our sincerest gratitude to anyone who has joined any of our events, participated in the workshops, enjoyed lovely dinners with us or helped us in any capacity with organising the events. ❤️ Of course, a huge thank you to all of the wonderful organisation we had the joy of meeting (and also joining? 👀) during the project. ❤️

For the final event, we want to celebrate the community we created and the amazing people we met. So join us for a spring Deeds of Hope farewell party! This time, we are inviting back the organisations we have had the chance to meet at the previous sessions, so that if you weren't able to join some of the events you will not miss out! 💙

The organisations will all get some time to present themselves, tell us about their mission and how to join them.  Aftewards, there will be time to chat, listen to music, dance and celebrate the project and the new friendships it facilitated. Free vegan dinner will be included! 🥪🧃

Since it is spring, we are hoping to host the event outside - in the Vallilanlaakso, a beautiful park near Allianssi-talo where the usual vegan dinner will be served picnic-style. But because this is still Finland, if the weather doesn't cooperate, the event will be moved inside. 

We will meet at Allianssi-talo at 18:00 and together we'll make the short walk to the park for the picnic. Keep an eye on our social media (or the weather forecast) for the confirmation of the final location closer to the event! 📲

 📍    Location: Meeting place is Allianssi-talo, Asemapäällikönkatu 1, 00520 Helsinki.  Allianssi-talo is wheelchair accessible and has accessible toilets. In case of nice weather, we will then move outside to Vallilanlaakso, 00550 Helsinki.
💰  Cost: Free! But registration is required—sign up below.
🌍  Language: The event is in English, but no worries if you’re not fluent. Finnish-speaking volunteers will be around to help.
 🗣️  Tapahtuma järjestetään englanniksi, mutta pärjäät tapahtumassa myös ilman kummempaa kielitaitoa.

About the project – Deeds of Hope

🌱 Deeds of Hope is a European Solidarity Corps (ESC) solidarity project. It’s created by youth, run by volunteers, and co-funded by the European Union.
It consists of a series of monthly events where we meet to share knowledge about activism and social engagement, explore the impact of Helsinki’s changemakers, and learn how to become part of movements for change.
We’ll get our hands dirty in practical workshops, where each month’s featured movement or organization shares hands-on skills and knowledge gained from their experience in activism.

We also offer free plant-based meals, cooked by our volunteers with primarily seasonal and locally produced ingredients.
