Nature Films

12 youngsters from all around Europe gathered together to do volunteering activities regarding nature and to also work for a film festival which concerns nature and environment. 🐟Lieselotte tells us a little bit of how the project went so far and what is the overall atmosphere:

"We went on a cruise around Savonlinna, we saw some very beautiful islands and we had a nice guide who told us some stories about the city.We went for a hike to Lusto, which was 5km. Yesterday we made seal friendly fishtrap with Maraajna from the Finnish association (nature protection) and also had with Kimmo some Finnish Language session. (Minä olen Lieselotte🤪).

We also went to Kerimäki Church, it is the biggest wooden church in the world! Today we’re going to learn in Huosio forest how to use a map and compass. 🙈"

Here are some thoughts from the volunteers after the second week of volunteering activities in Finland:

"In the last week we could work in the Savonlinna Nature Film Festival, cleaning the place, setting up decorations and helping where help was needed.

We got to know lots of amazing people and the city of Savonlinna, and we had a lot of fun participating in the festival! Even got the chance to sleep in a boat one night!" 🍀
