Volunteer tasks

The goal of this volunteering team is to improve the facilities of the animals. Tasks include for example cleaning and washing the barns , cleaning the forest, making pastures, and cleaning pasture areas, e.g. from hawthorn.

The work tasks of the volunteers are mostly cleaning the environment, building fences and renovation,, but in small groups it's possible to take care of the animals and get to know them under guidance. During the project, two new horses move in, for which facilities are being prepared.

Although the work is mainly renovation work outside, this team is not suitable for people with animal allergies.

Simple shared accommodation in a separate house about three kilometers from the animal home. Volunteers must have their own sleeping bags and towels. The accommodation has a sauna outside and a swimming area. Cooking is done together in small groups.

The accommodation and the animal farm are in the middle of nature in a very quiet place in Perniö, southern Finland, near the town of Salo. It's located around 2 hours from Helsinki, the capital of Finland and you can arrive there with a bus. The facilities remind the spirit of old times as the animal farm is over 100 years old.
