ESC VTHPA Conrete Deeds for the Baltic Sea

Concrete Deeds for the Baltic Sea (CoDe Sea) -VTHPA aims at making people around the Baltic Sea region more aware of their sea being one of the most polluted seas in the world and creating collective action to share information how to protect the sea.
The project will be carried out by a consortium of organisations around the Baltic Sea. We will organise 20 volunteering teams in years 2026-27 in six countries around the Baltic Sea.
The volunteering teams will participate in environmental activities such as organising coastal litter cleanups, info events and workshops. The aim is to encourage people to change their behaviour towards more sustainable choices in areas such as waste management, recycling, and sustainable food.
The teams combine concrete volunteering work with opportunities to learn more about the Baltic Sea and environmental issues , the impact of climate change and what we can do together for better future.
Who can apply ?
18-30 year old young people from Estonia, Finland, Germany, Latvia, Poland and Sweden are the main target group. In addition to Baltic Sea country volunteers (those mentioned above plus Lithuania and Denmark) also young people from Serbia, Greece and Ukraine can join the teams to add diversity and intercultural learning.
We are looking for people motivated to do voluntary work, learn new things and share everyday life with youth from different countries. We especially welcome young people who really need the EU financial support in order to join international volunteering. The teams are open for all 18-30 year olds, we encourage application from young people who do not have much international experience or have less opportunities to get such experience due to health problems, geographical obstacles, cultural differences, social challenges or economic difficulties.
What costs does the EU funding cover?
The volunteers will get board and lodging during the project days. Participants are covered by insurance (when volunteering abroad) and their travel costs from the home country to the project will be reimbursed based on actual costs (up to a maximum sum based on distance calculator below) after the project. Participants will receive a small allowance (5-7€ per day depending on the host country) for their personal expenses.
Distance | Maximum amount for return travel (in Euro) |

500-1.999 km | 309,00 |
