- Sun Apr 19, 2026 14:00–16:00
- Allianssi-talo
- Asemapäällikönkatu 1, 00520 Helsinki
The workshop will explore economic, climate, and environmental justice through an interactive game and group discussions. In our workshop, after a brief intro to our subject on how the current economic , we use a game to show how debt and colonial histories shape which countries can invest in climate action. Participants play as different countries, each given coins to spend on "just transition" elements based on their economic realities.
The goal is to explain the colonialist nature of current financial systems in an easy-to-understand way and to discuss solidarity and global inequality. The game has been tested at other climate camps, including in Åland in August 2025 during Regeneration 2030 Week.
This workshop is organised as part of the EYA European Youth in Action: Policymakers for Climate Justice project. In the workshop, we will collect thoughts, ideas and proposals that will be put together as recommendations to the EU policy makers as part of the EYA project. This is a great chance to get your voice heard on a European level!
