🎉Helsinki (dis)connected - speedfriending & board games!
- Tue Sep 22, 2026 18:00–21:00
- Allianssi-talo
- Asemapäällikönkatu 1, 00520 Helsinki
Looking for a chance to meet new people in Helsinki, make some connections and spend an evening away from your screen? Come join us for the first event of Helsinki (dis)connected – Beyond the Screen!
We’ll kick off the project with an exciting evening all about meeting people, playing games and having fun together. We’ll start with a speedfriending session, giving you the chance to have short conversations and meet people you might not otherwise cross paths with.💚 After that, we’ll liven things up with a selection of board games and plenty of time to chat, laugh and get to know each other. Players of all skill levels are welcome. Rules of the played games are explained beforehand as well, if there are players who aren't already familiar with the game.
And, of course, there will be pizza! 🍕 The food will be plant-based and the event is completely free to join.
No previous experience is needed, and you don’t need to come with friends — come alone, come with someone, or just come curious!👀
Whether you are new to Helsinki, looking to expand your social circle, or simply curious to meet people from different backgrounds, this is a great opportunity to make some new connections, while taking a break from your phone and enjoying the moments (and the pizza :D) to the fullest✨

About the project – Helsinki (dis)connected
🌱 Helsinki (dis)connected is a European Solidarity Corps (ESC) solidarity project. It’s created by youth, run by volunteers, and co-funded by the European Union.
It consists of monthly events, each featuring a different activity to take a break from the screens. The goal is to create a welcoming space where young people can meet, learn something new, discover their interests and build meaningful connections offline. We also offer free plant-based snacks.
Do you want to join our volunteer crew too? 💌 Send us an email at youth@alli.fi to get on board!
We don’t ask for any specific requirements — just the motivation to contribute to a meaningful project, even through small acts that make a difference.
