Helsinki (dis)connected

Living life offline

Helsinki (dis)connected - Beyond the Screen is a solidarity project born out of the desire to propose accessible alternatives to living in front of the screen and to encourage young adults to build a balanced and responsible relationship with technology.  It's goal is to offer possibilities to try out new hobbies, meet new people, and enhanche personal development in a chill atmosphere. The project wants to create a community, where everyone can come as they are and go home richer with new experiences and friendships.

The project organises free, accessible events on a monthly basis. The events are diverse, such as trying a hobby, workshops, visits to local cultural and natural destinations, or just a chill hangout with a fun activity - the most important thing is living in the moment, without phones. The events are mainly directed at people between 18-30 years of age, and their main language is English. Each event also serves free, plant-based snacks to participants. We strive to ensure that all events are accessible and adhere to the principles of a safe place.

So, if you are interested in learning new skills, meeting people from diverse backgrounds, or just want to find purposeful activities, don't hesitate to join the events, alone or with friends! ✨

You can read more about the upcoming events on the left sidebar. Please not that even though the events are free of charge, registration beforehand is always required. You can also go follow the project on Instagram, updates on upcoming events will be posted there: https://www.instagram.com/helsinki_disconnected/?hl=en
