Folk it Up! Palestinian Dabke 21.10.2025
- Tue Oct 21, 2025 18:00–21:00
- Allianssi-talo
- Asemapäällikönkatu 1, 00520 Helsinki
After launching the Folk it Up! project under the early autumn sky, we’re now moving indoors for our fourth gathering—time to cozy it up!
Join us for another evening of beginner-friendly international folk dances. This time, we’re thrilled to welcome special guests from Al Huriya, a Palestinian Dabke group based in Helsinki, who will guide us through the basics of this powerful Levantine folk dance. No dance experience needed—just bring your curiosity!
In addition to the Dabke dancing workshop, there will be:
· Time to review dances introduced in the previous events
· Space to socialize and connect
· Vegan snacks and refreshments
· A chance for you to share a dance you love—if you’d like!
Whether you’ve joined our past events or this is your first time, you’re warmly invited for an evening of fun, messy dancing and meaningful intercultural exchange, celebrating Palestinian heritage, art and resistance. This event follows safer space principles and will have a designated safer space contact person available.
