Programs Abroad

Are you looking for new opportunities to gain valuable work experience or learn a new language? Are you interested in different cultures? We offer interesting options for work and volunteering abroad as well as language programs. What will be your choice?

Our programs are available for everyone living in Finland (permanent residents, exchange students, long term visa residents etc.)

Volunteering

If you want to experience local culture while doing something useful, then your choice is volunteering.  We offer a variety of programs around the world and we have approximately 60 different destinations.  While working for a volunteer project, you work for a non-profit entity in favour of maintenance. You can participate from 2 weeks up to a full year.

International volunteer camps can be found in the e-vet database. These projects usually last from 2 to 3 weeks and are available for everyone over the age of 18 (some projects are available to volunteers as young as 16 years of age). On a volunteer camp you will work with a group of international volunteers in a project that benefits the local community.

For longer periods of stay in Europe we have European Solidarity Corps. This program is primarily designed for volunteers between the age of 18 and 30 and who have little to no previous international experience or other opportunities for gaining international experience. Participants have to be non-students. Volunteers must be citizens of EU or have a permanent residency in a EU country. Duration of the program is 6 to 12 months. With European Solidarity Corps you will work in an individual project at a local community. There is a wide variety of projects and countries to choose from.

For volunteer programs outside of Europe we have partners in most corners of the world. Our partners offer projects that are from 1 month up to a year. You can also include a volunteering term to other travels such as backpacking.

Work experience

In the work experience programs you get to experience the feel of the local "work life". We currently offer different internship and work programs for selected groups and in collaboration with selected schools. Our current programs are Ready for Life, Learn YoWo and EURES.

Language courses

We also offer several options to choose from for language courses. Programs vary from country to country.
