Kansainvälisiä vapaaehtoisleirejä järjestetään sekä Euroopassa että Euroopan ulkopuolella ja ne ovat omakustanteisia. Leirimaksu on yleensä 150€, joka sisältää majoituksen ja ruokailun leirin ajaksi.  Matkat kotimaasta kohdemaahan osallistuja järjestää ja maksaa itse. 

Tälle sivulle olemme nostaneet esimerkkejä vapaaehtoisleireistä, joihin etsitään tällä hetkellä vapaaehtoisia. Leirejä järjestetään varsinkin kesäaikaan, jolloin leirihakukoneesta löytyy yli tuhat eri vaihtoehtoa..

Active for future - help to plant trees!

Tasks: You will have the opportunity to spend 2 weeks working and living in the forest. Your main task will be to plant trees as part of an active contribution to conservation! Spring cleaning close to the Baltic Sea

Tasks: Help out with our spring cleaning at Brunswick’s children and youth camping site on the Lenster beach in Grömitz! Together with other young people from all over the world you support the staff of the campsite during various seasonal preparatory repairs on the entire site. Together you will repair or rebuild playgrounds and sports fields as well as barbecue and campfire areas, paint and carry out various site maintenance work.

Workcamps in France in Spring

The Fortress of Fouras 1

Tasks: You will work for eight 6-hour mornings on the restoration of a new section of the interior of La Redoute. Your task will be to remove vegetation from the façade and cornices so that the joints can be removed and then repointed with lime mortar. Other traditional masonry work, such as repairing the stone cornices and stone cutting, is also planned. In addition, you will take part in workshops to raise awareness of interculturality and sustainable development.

Free Music Festival

Tasks: You will work with the organization’s volunteers to prepare and set up the festival: installing barriers, managing car parks, decorating the stage, etc. Your tasks will consist in preparing the park to make it welcoming for the public and supporting the volunteer teams with the logistics of the event. Due to weather conditions, it may be very hot. Schedules may therefore be adjusted to avoid peak heat, while ensuring that the festival is ready on time. Tasks: Over eight six-hour mornings, you will help restore part of the exterior paving of Fort Vauban. No masonry skills are required: this project is open to everyone. The remains of Claussonne's Abbey 2

Tasks: You will work on consolidating the stone masonry walls of the ruins of the Clausonne Abbey apse. After learning how to make lime mortar, you will work on repointing the stone masonry. A local craftswoman will guide you in making and using the mortar, as well as the placement and size of the stones. Each day, two group members will take turns preparing the team's meals; the menu will be defined in advance. You will work on the site during the mornings from Monday to Friday. Generally, the work involves masonry, preparing tools and meals, as well as organizing and setting up collective life.

Gnist Festival 2026, Denmark, 11.05. - 17.05.2026

About the organisation: GNIST Festival is a music and art festival created by and for young people, located outside the big cities. It’s a two-day celebration filled with live music, art exhibitions, community dance, techno yoga, talks, short films, and much more. We celebrate youth spirit, creativity, culture, and all kinds of art and music.

Tasks: Your tasks during this camp will include building the festival grounds - tents, practical setups, graffiti walls etc., painting signs and decorating the area. You wil be able to attend the festival and enjoy the festival for its duration. Afterwards, you will help take down and pack everything and clear the festival grounds.

Open-Air Museum, Estonia, 12.05.-21.05.2026

About the organisation: The Estonian Open-Air Museum (Eesti Vabaõhumuuseum) is a life-sized reconstruction of an 18th-19th century rural/fishing village, which includes church, tavern, schoolhouse, several mills, a fire station, twelve farmyards and net sheds. Furthermore, it includes a recently opened 20th century Soviet kolkhoz apartment building. Besides the mission of preservation and presenting the history of Estonian country side, the museum keeps historical cultural traditions running various activities all year around, offering tours and educational programs for families, school children and guests from abroad. The museum has thousands of exhibits related to rural life as it was centuries ago. This year they have an ambitious plan of revision and cleaning of those kept in the storage, and volunteers are invited to help out this important task.

Tasks: The work involves cleaning the items on display at the museum with a vacuum cleaner and brushes. These items will be moved from a storage room to outdoor tents so that the floor there can be repaired and new storage shelves can be put up. The volunteers' work is to clean these ethnographic items, which are quite dusty and black as they have not been accessed. They include, for example, carts, wooden utensils, children's beds, large wooden sieves, threshing machines and other larger items typical of Estonian rural life. The work takes place outdoors under tents on the territory of the Open-Air Museum. And there can be various seasonal jobs around museum large territory. Working hours will be from 10 to 16 with a lunch break from 13 to 14. Weekend is free. All necessary tools, gloves, protective masks and glasses will be provided. Volunteers will be working along side with local workers of the museum.

Workcamps in Italy with Legambiente

San Rossore Summer, Between Biodiversity and History

Tasks: Volunteers will be engaged in projects aimed at preserving and restoring the natural environment of one of the most important wetlands in the Tyrrhenian Sea, the San Rossore estate, part of the MSRM Regional Park. The volunteers will use simple tools such as shears, axes and saws to remove invasive vegetation, record data to compare the present situation and check the effectiveness of the action. At the request of the Park, interventions will be possible for easy maintenance operations in areas of naturalistic interest further inland. Restoration of the paths in the naturalistic areas of the estate and biomonitoring activities within the Park will also be carried out. All movements will be made by bicycles, which the volunteers will also maintain, with the help of the local bicycle workshop. Volunteers will participate in workshops about the local environment and its features, held by the technicians of the Park. They will learn about the Sea turtle "Caretta Caretta" , whose traces they will also look for, and about the several species of plants and trees of the territory. They will also learn how to fix their own bike.

Volunteering for Youth Climate Meeting 2026

Tasks: Volunteers will be the true protagonists of the Youth Climate Meeting! Those who decide to join us will be involved in organizing the event, from setting up the different areas to managing arrivals, staffing the Infopoint and providing information about the structure of the event and scheduled activities, supporting thematic workshops, managing waste sorting, and assisting with catering services. Volunteers with IT skills will be able to support technicians in managing audiovisual equipment, laptops, or other devices during presentations and events. Another required activity may include collecting feedback from participants about their experience at the event. Volunteer activities will last approximately 8 hours per day. Shifts may vary depending on the event’s needs and, according to assigned roles, may take place in the morning, afternoon, or evening. Volunteers will also have free time to participate in debates, workshops and laboratories, or to take a walk by the sea.

RAN - Sun, Heart, Love and Biodiversity for a better world

Tasks: The work will be always in direct collaboration with the technical staff for the maintenance of the Oasi Dunale. BeeActive Camp, Serbia, 10.06-23.06.2026

About the organisation: The "City Children" association based in Novi Sad acts as a local, informal, non-profit association focused on working with children and young people through educational, sports and socially beneficial activities. They chose to organize its first volunteer camp in the village of Brezovice, close to Čačak, in order to provide children from urban areas with a refuge in nature and to breathe new life into a school that has had no students for a long time. In addition, the association is very committed to ecology and the development of agriculture, and volunteers will have the opportunity to participate in the work of nearby farms in order to properly experience life in the countryside and better connect with the local community.

Tasks: During the camp, volunteers will be involved in various activities of arranging and maintaining the area of ​​the "Pčelice" (Little bees) children's camp, as well as the rural household in its immediate surrounding.
Planned activities include painting indoor and outdoor spaces (interior and exterior of the house on the property), painting auxiliary buildings, making and painting children's obstacles and props, as well as making large panels (posters) for drawing and creative work within the school space. Horticultural and basic agricultural works are also planned: planting roses, removing invasive plants, mowing and maintaining the grounds, arranging the forest path, creating and installing botanical signboards along the path, as well as creating ecological elements such as bird and squirrel houses and hotels for insects that contribute to biodiversity. Work with children will not be in focus, but at least one day of children's visit to the camp is planned. Volunteers will work about 5-6 hours a day, mostly in the morning or early afternoon. During the stay, a joint trip to Čačak with a tour of the sights will be organized.

Alliksaare Horse Farm, Estonia

About the organisation: Hiiumaa is the second largest island of Estonia with the area of 965 sq. km and a population of around 9 000. It has many historical and nature sights, and there are kind people known for their hospitality and good sense of humor. The island is referred to as a remote area of Europe, and EstYES feels proud developing international voluntary projects for over 20 years there. EstYES has been cooperating with eco-farms all over Estonia to show solidarity and give practical support to local people, who work in the agricultural sector keeping traditional lifestyle and developing new eco-farming despite all difficulties. Alliksaare Farm on Hiiumaa Island is one of such projects. This is a farm promoting sustainable lifestyle, and this camp is offered to volunteers who share its values, want to learn more about it and to help hard working people. Current speciality of Alliksaare Farm is preserving endangered breed of horses called Estonian Native Horse. Alliksaare Farm has also a task to take care of coastal meadows which are international birds’ migration area under protection of Natura Program.

Tasks: Alliksaare Farm’s main direction is horse breeding, and there are around 150 horses on the farm. Although the work may be diverse: taking care and maintain the pastures located by the sea - clearing around the pastures, building or removing fences, repairing fences, cleaning the stable. Another work is cleaning the coast nearby the farm from rubbish brought by storms. There can be some work for preparing food for horses for a winter time. However, the major and the most important one is work with horses directly - mostly training them. There are horses of any age but mostly young ones, so depending on your experience and willingness to learn more, it is possible to practice taking care of and training young horses. For example socializing and training foals, halter train yearlings and saddle and/or carriage train young horses. The work will be mainly outdoors. Working time is 6-7 hours a day. Work will be done mostly independently, still some supervision and initial guidance will be provided by the local host.

"Äktschn im Park", Austria, 27.06. - 18.07.2026

About the organisation: Grenzenlos is an Austrian NGO based in Vienna. It is independent of religions and political bodies. Grenzenlos is a non-profit association. Its main purpose is to promote world peace and respect between people through intercultural non-formal education programmes abroad which combine cultural integration with engagement at non-profit initiatives worldwide. Local host Burghauptmannschaft is in charge of the maintenance of the parks and castles in Austria.

Tasks: You will mostly work with the Vienna gardeners in the green areas of this famous public park named “Augarten” which is located in the centre of Vienna (2nd district). During the three weeks, you will meanly support the gardeners by, for example, helping them to weed the flower beds. You will also have the opportunity to do some painting work (e.g. walls) for a week.

Eco-Festival internship

Tasks: The internship programme is ideal for those looking to gain new skills, try out different responsibilities, and learn in a real-world, supportive environment. Interns are involved in the day-to-day running of the eco-events site, leading teams of volunteers, and getting hands-on experience across several parts of the organisation. 
At Green & Away, internships are tailored to your skills, areas of interest and what you’d like to develop. You could run 1 long project, or a portfolio of smaller projects, all with a focus on sustainability, ecotourism and outdoor living. Alongside your individual project, you will take on responsibilities in one or more core departments. You are advised to read the departmental descriptions and think about which parts interest you, as well as what skills you have and could lend to us this summer season. Treasure of Jewish Culture in Holešov

Tasks: The work takes place mainly at the Jewish cemetery in Holešov and partly at the synagogue in Šachov. Volunteers will help with landscaping and regular cemetery maintenance, including grave care, cleaning paths, weeding, removing overgrown vegetation, raking grass, and general upkeep. Tasks: Volunteers will take part in hands-on conservation activities such as planting and caring for trees and shrubs, restoring and maintaining natural habitats, and observing local flora and fauna. The work also includes educational and community-oriented activities, such as workshops on ecology, sustainability, and conservation for children and young people aged 12–17. In addition, volunteers will support the organisation of a children’s camp, assisting the main organisers with daily activities and logistics. Volunteers are expected to actively contribute by designing and leading one activity that introduces participants to their country, culture, or subculture. In the afternoon, some educational blocks may also be open to the adult public.
